Welcome to our home. We are Jess and Spencer. Our love story began when we both swiped right, typical dating story from 2016. But hey..it worked! We lucked out and were able to get married in February 2020, right before the Covid-19 pandemic hit the US.

Spencer was born and raised in Bethesda and still calls this town home. He owns a business with his 4 brothers. He is also a handy-man and can fix just about anything. Jess is a small-town girl who moved to the area after college. She works as a part-time accountant and wanna-be full-time Instagrammer :) She has more of a knack for decorating and entertaining. I’d say we make a good team :)

In early 2018 we began our house search. The real estate market in North Bethesda, MD (right outside of DC) is intense. There were many ups and downs but luckily we beat out 8 other offers to purchase this house. We have spent the last few years settling in to This Brick Home.

This blog will document all of the updates, renovations and decorating in our new home. We’ve already done quite a lot with many more projects to come! Thank you for visiting!
