Fireplace Conversion

There’s nothing like snuggling up near a warm, cozy fire on a cold winter evening however, I’m not a fan of going outside to gather wood, drag it through the house and tend to the fire all night long. When we initially got the chimney inspected, we were told a new liner was needed before we could ever use it.

The thought of fixing the liner, buying and drying out firewood, etc etc was daunting. We let that project sit on the side burner for a few months.

We pondered the option of converting to gas logs. Back and forth, pros and cons.

When we found out that we needed two new furnaces put in this winter (surprise!), we asked the contractor if they were able to convert the fireplace to gas. Luckily, they said yes!

A week later they installed the gas logs - along with two new furnaces - but that’s not exciting enough to post about!

Now we have that cozy ambiance in the living room with a click of a button.

And the fireplace actually has a use now!
